Tips for Making Smoothies
- Use a good high-speed blender
- If you want it really thick (smoothie bowl) add little to no water and use a tamper while blending
- Use frozen or fresh fruit – ripe bananas freeze rather well
- Don’t add too many ingredients – simple tastes best
- Don’t add protein powder – this just is not good for us
- Savour each sip – this also helps with digestion
- Play around with proportions of each ingredient – to taste
- Organic is best – for berries especially
- Take out the pits and off the peels
- Run a water and dish soap blend after each use
