Tips for Making Smoothies

  • Use a good high-speed blender
  • If you want it really thick (smoothie bowl) add little to no water and use a tamper while blending
  • Use frozen or fresh fruit – ripe bananas freeze rather well
  • Don’t add too many ingredients – simple tastes best
  • Don’t add protein powder – this just is not good for us
  • Savour each sip – this also helps with digestion
  • Play around with proportions of each ingredient – to taste
  • Organic is best – for berries especially
  • Take out the pits and off the peels
  • Run a water and dish soap blend after each use

  1. Mango Pudding → Bananas, Mango, Vanilla Extract
  2. Pink Paradise → Bananas, Cherries, Strawberries
  3. Apple Pie → Bananas, Apple, Medjool Dates, Cinnamon Powder, Ginger Powder, Nutmeg Powder
